Short but Jazzy was an initiative developed by six second year Graphic Design Communication students at Chelsea College of Arts to encourage experimentation and productivity. During the pandemic, many have felt let down by the lack of creative briefs within UAL courses, so this our alternative.

We worked on a regular rota with a new brief at the beginning of each week. Anyone could submit their individual responses, whether that be film, illustration or photography. Any medium, any style, any outcome. The aims of this project were to build potential portfolio content, increase familiarity with creative software and acclimatising us to the working world and tight deadlines.

I designed this logo to represent the fun, experimental nature of the project, and to give us a recognisable brand.

EXEMPLAR PROMPT

A new prompt is presented weekly, with a brief to respond to the stimulus (e.g. a sentence) in any way you see fit. Anyone can submit prompt suggestions for us to use, which makes the whole project more of a collaborative effort from everyone participating.
